Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully

Ordering a 'Mascot (Costume Rental Only)' means you are entering into a hire agreement. Below states the terms and conditions for this hire agreement. 

  • I  undertake that the costume is to be hired for the agreed rental period only. (Unless otherwise agreed.)

  • I accept that the costume must be returned in the condition that it was received. A condition report and checklist must be signed prior to the start of the hire agreement and the handover of the costume.

  • I undertake to return the costume in a good condition suitable for re-hire.

  • I accept that the 'Refundable Damage Deposit' will be refunded once the condition of the costume has been checked against the 'condition report and checklist' which was signed prior to the start of the hire agreement.

  • If the costume is damaged, or lost, then part or all of my deposit will be forfeited.

  • I understand that if the costume is lost or has been deemed non repairable that i will incur a charge of £200 and is payable by me.

  • If i fail to make the costume available for collection on the agreed date, i am liable to additional costs of £40.00 per 24 hours. This may be deducted from my 'Refundable Damage Deposit' or may invoiced to me and is payable by me.

  • I understand that should any part of the outfit need to be dry cleaned, i am liable to lose a total of £15 off my deposit. 

  • Costumes are for hire only and must be returned on agreed times. The property of the goods shall in no circumstances pass to the hire.

  • I understand that the mascot must be accompanied by a chaperone at all times when being operated.

  • I understand that the costume is not to be worn outside in wet conditions or hazardous conditions.

  • I understand Happy Mascots are not responsible for any injuries caused to any persons whilst wearing the costume on hire.

  • I understand Happy Mascots will only deliver to my location once i have paid the 'Online Booking Reservation Fee,' and 'Delivery and Collection Cost,' and have received confirmation.

Pricing

  • 'Mascot Rental (Costume Rental Only)' require the payment of 'Online Booking Reservation Fee,' 'Delivery and Collection Cost,' 'Remaining Costume Cost' and 'Refundable Damage Deposit.'

  • 'Mascot Rental (Happy Staff Member)' require the payment of 'Online Booking Reservation Fee' and Remaining Costume Cost.'

  • I understand the payment of 'Online Booking Reservation Fee,' and 'Delivery and Collection Cost,' must be paid online via Paypal prior to your chosen location, date and time. Please see cancellations and refunds.

  • The 'Online Booking Reservation Fee,' is to reserve your booking. It will show online as 'Minimum Deposit' and will be subtracted from the 'Costume Price' to produce an amount for 'Remaining Costume Cost.'

  • I understand the 'Remaining Costume Cost' must be paid online before the day of the booking. 

  • I understand the 'Delivery and Collection Cost,' must be paid online before the day of the booking after i have been contacted by Happy Mascots and given the choice of collection or delivery. 

  • I understand the 'Refundable Damage Deposit,' is payable at anytime before the booking, but must be paid prior to the mascot being handed to the customer.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations must be made 7 days before your chosen location, date and time to receive a full refund of your 'Online Booking Reservation Fee,' 'Delivery and Collection Cost,' 'Refundable Damage Deposit' 

  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before your booking will not receive your 'Online Booking Reservation Fee' refunded.

  • Cancellations made less than 3 days before your booking will not receive your 'Online Booking Reservation' and 'Delivery and Collection Cost' refunded.

  • Refunds will be processed the same day your cancellation has been received, and will be refunded back to the same account details via Paypal. Refunds usually take 2-3 working days.

  • In the unusual event of Happy Mascots cancelling your booking due to unforeseen circumstances,  a refund of all payments received will be processed.

Delivery and Collection

  • All deliveries will be made by Happy Mascots unless arranged as other wise. 

  • All customers will be contacted after making there 'Online Booking Reservation Fee' to arrange delivery or collection. All deliveries and collections will be arranged via email.

  • All deliveries made by Happy Mascots will incur a 'Delivery and Collection Cost.' We will deliver and collect the costume.

  • Happy Mascots currently deliver within the M25  only. 

  • Changes to delivery/collections date, time or location before your chosen location, date and time, will result in the loss of the 'Delivery and Collection Cost.'

  • Customer collections will incur no 'Delivery and Collection Cost.'

  • I undertake i must sign a 'condition report and checklist' upon delivery of the costume.

  • I must pay any outstanding monies before the costume and the hire agreement will begin.

  • If i fail to make the costume available for collection on the agreed date, i am liable to additional costs of £40.00 per 24 hours. This may be deducted from my 'Refundable Damage Deposit' or may invoiced to me and is payable by me.

  • I understand that failure to return the costume will result incur a charge of £200 and is payable by me.
